In the surreal world of a remote fishing ground lives Hee-Jin, who earns her living by selling food during the day and her body to the fishermen at night. One day Hyun-Shik shows up, a former policeman who killed his lover out of jealousy and is therefore on the run. When he tries to kill himself out of desperation on one of the houseboats, Hee-Jin intervenes at the last moment. A virtually self-destructive relationship develops between the two. When Hyun-Shik decides to leave Hee-Jin, he finds that he cannot get away from her. Like fish caught in each other's bait, they are drawn deeper and deeper into the abysses of their worlds.
